Ground was broken last week at the new Early Childhood Center at Maddox for Englewood Schools, in what may have been the “cutest groundbreaking ever,” coined by the RB+B team. The event was attended by staff, community members, and many of the preschool-aged early learners that call Maddox home. The $13.7 million project, a 37,000-square-foot school for 250 children, replaces the current building on the existing site and is being built by Fransen Pittman General Contractors. Once the school moves to their new home, the existing building will serve as swing space for another elementary school in the district while they also await the construction of their new school.
