Pinnacle Arts Workshop

The Conifer Project is an interior renovation of an existing 6,000-square-foot pre-engineered metal building to house the visual arts curriculum at Pinnacle Charter High School. New classrooms are provided for Drawing and Digital Art, Photography, Ceramics and 3D Art with a Kiln Room, and Painting and Digital Art instruction. The support spaces include a Secure Entry Vestibule, Administrative Workroom, Student and Teacher Restrooms, and a Mechanical/Custodial Room. To tie these spaces together, a grand ramp serves a dual purpose as a gallery space to showcase students’ artwork.

The space is unique, including features such as enhanced lighting for working on still life pieces in Painting, a teacher/student grouping of pottery wheels in Ceramics, document cameras in Drawing & Painting, and 12 student photo-shooting ‘stations’ with interchangeable backdrops in the Photography Classroom. Staff in the Administrative Workroom oversee visitor entry with a secure transaction counter. Space is also provided here for students to mat, finish and store their projects to prepare for the annual Pinnacle Charter School art show.
